The Modern Niemoller, part 1

First they came for the immigrants and I said nothing, for I was not an immigrant.

Am I the modern Niemoller?

To be continued.

Eh, I hate to break this to you Moriel. This is not the comparison most people who use that line think this is… it is FAR from it. At least, FIRST, happened like a 100 years ago and its been happening that way for at least that long if not way longer.

Immigrants been this way, citizens just been too oblivious for 100s of years. or at least a 100 years. They also did the black sites for suspected born in the wrong part of the world people like me, indefinite unexplained no comms allowed detentions and quarantines.

    The endless NSA surveillance.

Patriot act that gives gov permission to come to any immigrant house with no 4A rights whatsoever and bug it or use the ability to spy using modern TVs on private immigrant, legal immigrant lives on nat sec grounds.

Since its been… its been this way.

It’s always been this way, y’all white people and black people and brown people privileged US-born-citizens are just waking up to what you have been living in all along lol now that the same chickens have come home to roost against people here at home…

Literally none of this is new. They are just enforcing the existing immigration system and law to the max. Immigration courts and judges are DOJ employees not independent judiciary anyway and there is no appeals. No real due process and there never has been. The population is DEEPLY uneducated about how their own system runs and how much gatekeeping is done for them to exist how they exist here. WOEFULLY ill informed. Similar to how people are ill informed in “protect and serve” notion in police and law enforcement swears… those are not sworn to protect and serve the community, if you go read that thing they swear to, it says to protect and serve the LAW, then sprinkles a tiny bit of community language “maybe” in there in some jurisdictions from what I recall.

You can get deported and get your citizenship canceled over a typo on your application. a non-material typo mind you. like an empty field that does not apply to your life on the form… if you leave it empty instead of writing N/A > you just wasted a grand on a citizenship or green card or visa application. and the instructions do not even tell you to do this either.

This has been your immigration system for at least 100 years. But since citizenry had no reason to suspect or worry or even want to know about it, nobody did. now they are simply doing the things that same system has been authorizing them to do but at a much more visible scale. They can never do letter of the law, takes way too much man power to enforce it on everyone they want to enforce it on, but the real deal here is the fact that they get to create TERROR and self censorship and self deportation and self hiding and self not being visible and all of that with a few tough words and some visible show of force.

Americans need to get a lot more political and deeper than their feed or favorite podcasts. way past time.
